Hi there ! My name is Kaustubh (KT) and I’m the person behind this one man business Pali Hill Pottery! I’m originally from Bandra the hip and happening suburb of the city of Mumbai in India, but I’ve now been living in the US since 2014. So far professionally I was working as a Training and Talent Development Professional in the service and hospitality industry. I have trained individuals from over 62 different countries (yup, 62+!) I've also run my own training consultancy in the past. I love training people and helping them learn something new and see them grow professionally. I did not think I will ever get back into running my own business again here in the US, but here we are.

After moving from New York City to Boston mid 2022, and not being able to work at that time due to visa restrictions, I started making a lot of cooking videos (yes, like many people I cook from scratch almost everyday and that turned into videos and that has now turned into 'Cooking with KT' cooking classes where I teach Indian cooking. Think Mango Lassi, Saag Paneer, Tikka Masala and of course Garlic Naan, I keep the recipes very simple to make and still get the best flavor. You can check me out on Instagram @shotglass

During a 10 Day silent meditation retreat that I attended in November, 2022, one of the realizations was how much I love to work with my hands and how meditative it is! I had never played with clay before enrolling in a pottery making class and it was love at first sight.  After finishing the first few days in the class I quickly became obsessed and became a member of a shared studio space and from there Pali Hill Pottery was born. The name Pali Hill Pottery comes from a little but very beautiful neighborhood in Bandra, it was here where I fell in love with art and beautiful artist's creations.

It took sometime to let go of the idea that all this ceramic art need to be perfect and what makes them unique are those little difference and imperfection. Pottery has taught me patience and letting go of the constant need of wanting everything to be perfect. Thank you for coming here and if you have any questions about the making process please do not hesitate to reach out.
